The tool creates a new image in your browser. It does not place a removable shape or hidden layer over the original.

Use a solid cover for secrets

Black and white covers replace every pixel inside the box. Extend the box beyond text or faces so no edge remains.

Pixelation has a trade-off

Pixelation replaces original pixels with averaged blocks, but broad shapes can remain recognizable. Choose a solid cover for highly sensitive information.

One flattened image

On download, the original and every redaction are drawn into a new bitmap. The file contains no editable layers, redaction objects or undo history.

Source metadata is left behind

The exported file is rebuilt without the original EXIF, GPS or editing metadata. The original file remains unchanged on your device.
